01

Fugitive Emission (METHANE Leak Detection and Repair)

As the world becomes more Sustainable conscious, industries are being urged to do much more in terms of emissions and the Oil & gas is expected to play a pivotal role in climate change and Net Zero.

The IPCC has estimated that cutting methane emissions quickly in the 2020s could take 0.2 degrees centigrade off the rise in global temperatures in the long run.

It is also an area of the transition in which there is consensus that action now could lead to relatively quick impact in reducing climate impacts, because although methane is more potent than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse warming gas.

Fugitive emissions—unintended releases of gases or vapors from industrial equipment—are increasingly recognized as a critical environmental and public health concern in 2025.

Companies must implement Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) programs to avoid fines and legal consequences, and Nigeria has already released robust guidelines for management of fugitive methane and greenhouse gases emissions in the upstream oil and gas operations which is why Verdant Tech Solutions Limited was conceived to play a huge role in the industry.

Our innovative solutions helps companies detect, monitor, measure and report methane emissions.

02

Identification, Classification and Quantifying methane emissions from process equipment, components and other sources of emissions in operations.

In the drive towards identifying, classifying, and quantifying methane emissions from process equipments, Verdant Tech Solutions deploys the following technologies.

Ground-Based Technologies

  • Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras
  • Laser-based detectors (e.g., TDLAS)
  • Sniffer sensors for component-level leaks

Aerial and Drone-Based Systems

  • Equipped with infrared sensors or laser spectrometers
  • Ideal for large-area surveys and hard-to-reach infrastructure

Continuous Monitoring Systems (CMS)

  • Fixed sensors around facilities for real-time leak detection
  • Enables rapid response and quantification over time

Classification and Quantification Methods

  • Tiered measurement approaches: starting with broad screening (e.g., satellite or drone), then zoom in with high-precision tools (e.g., OGI or CMS).
  • Application of quantification algorithms and emission factor models to estimate volumes.
  • Integrate data into centralized platforms for analysis, reporting, and compliance tracking.

Reporting and Compliance Tools

  • Leverages platforms aligned with OGMP 2.0 (Oil and Gas Methane Partnership) standards.
  • Automates reporting to meet regulatory and ESG requirements.

Automatic Fire and Gas detection System Solutions

In an increasingly globalized Industry especially in sectors like oil & gas, manufacturing, chemicals, and energy—Automatic Fire and Gas Detection System (FGDS) Solutions are not just beneficial, they are essential.

Verdant Tech Solutions detect fires, gas leaks, and explosions in real time, enabling immediate alerts and shutdowns in sites, thereby protecting personnel, assets, and the environment.

Industrial facilities often house critical infrastructure and expensive equipment. Automatic Fire and Gas Detection System (FGDS) Solutions reduces the risk of catastrophic loss due to fire or gas-related incidents.

Our modern FGDS can be integrated with SCADA, DCS, and IoT platforms.

  • Enables centralized monitoring, predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision-making across global sites.

Some of Verdant Tech Solution modern Automatic Fire and Gas

Detection System includes;

  • Emerson Flame and Gas Detection Solutions
    • S5000/IR400 IR point flammable gas detector
    • S5500 IR open path detector (Hydrocarbon)
  • Honeywell Integrated Fire and Gas Solutions
  • Next-Gen Hybrid FGDS (AI + IoT + Robotics)

04

OEM Emission control Equipment sourcing, support, Maintenance and after Market support Services

For fixed roof storage tanks that emit more than 2 tons per year of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) due to flash gas, working losses, and breathing losses, the installation of a Vapor Recovery System (VRS) is not only a best practice but often a regulatory requirement.

Our Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) such as Wet gas compressor, Metering and routing and Smart VRUs.

We work with global OEMS’s such as Cimarron, John Zink Hamworthy Combustion and Petrex

05

General Procurement

Our General Procurement service includes;

  • Framework Agreements and Strategic Sourcing (establishing long-term procurement contracts with OEMs for better pricing and availability) for Oil & gas companies, FMCG etc.
  • Procurement and supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of any type.
  • Procurement of Digital and Automation Solutions etc.
  • Procurement of original spare parts, tools, and equipment directly from certified OEMs.

Verdant Tech Solutions Limited operates corporately to ISO 14064 ASTM, API, OGMP 2.0 and other international standards.

All services are carried out in accordance to international,
client and or internal Verdant Tech written standards.

Quality, health, safety & regulatory framework

Verdant Tech Solutions Limited (VDTSL) operates a system that is compliant to ISO 9001:2015.

VDTSL holds ISO 9001:2015 Certification covering provision of engineering support and general procurement services.

Verdant Tech Solutions Limited holds numerous regulatory approvals which include the required Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission(NUPRC) permits, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board NCDMB)and Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) to name a few.

Safety is of paramount importance, and like our clients, VDTSL endeavors to provide the safest possible working environment which includes a comprehensive safety program.

In all our service offering, the safety program, including a accident reporting and investigation system, has been put into place with all working procedures to anticipate, meet and exceed where possible, both local site standards and all jurisdictional or regulatory requirements.
